Ma quête personnelle d’apprendre le français à l’aide de la Approach… de Pimsleur

J’ai toujours eu le désir d’apprendre une ou plusieurs langues. Je suppose que c’est une chose personnelle avec moi, vous savez me défier.

J’ai eu un certain succès en espagnol, donc dans un premier temps c’était la langue de mon choix et j’ai même bit the bullet comme ils disent et jeté le 600++ de dollars pour la pierre de rosette. J’ai aimé il tout d’abord que je vole à travers les unités, mais j’ai commencé à remarquer quelque chose. J’ai dépenser beaucoup de temps à l’ordinateur en passant par les unités d’apprentissage de vocabulaire nouveau mais je me manque une chose cruciale, que je sentais que j’avais besoin. Véritable parler et converser dans la langue.

Je suppose que ce n’est simplement pas assez rapide et je ne sais pas si c’était cette gratification instantanée que nous recherchons tous les jours ou que j’avais développé une sorte d’impatience ou THADA ou quelque chose lol.

Alors… un jour, que je reçois cet e-mail sur comment vous pouvez apprendre à parler une nouvelle langue en dix jours.

Je me suis dit que ya-droit dix jours, mais ils avaient les crochets en moi quand j’ai vu que vous pourriez essayer de jours 30. Je me suis dit pourquoi pas, la pire chose qui pourrait arriver est que je finirais un autre statistiquement perdant qui tombe un peu de pub intelligente.

Je tiens à mon expérience du document et commencer J’espère que certaines grandes conversations sur mes progrès et de la part d’autres histoires avec autres intéressés gens….quel grand thème que je pensais. donc voilà.

L’arrivée a été passionnant pour moi, pas tellement pour mon épouse mais qui me donnait juste un shake déçu de sa tête, mais non moins j’étais excité.

Il a été emballé dans cette boîte pleather belle et très élégante. L’intérieur a été un les dix CD protégés dans une mousse veloutée découpé. Jusqu’à présent, j’ai été impressionné.

J’ai rapidement inséré le nouveau cd et téléchargé sur mon iTunes, donc je pouvais prendre il avec moi partout sur mon iPod.

La première leçon était incroyable ! J’ai écouté une conversation rapide en français et puis il a commencé à briser la conversation donc je pouvais écouter et répéter.

Chaque leçon est longues de 30 minutes seulement et vous remplir un par jour.À la fin de la première leçon, j’ai pu comprendre la conversation et avec un couple répétition du cd, je pourrais parler comme un participant actif. Soo cool droit !

Eh bien je suis sur la leçon 21 maintenant et je peux dire honnêtement que je suis si heureuse avec mes progrès. Ma femme qui a pris trois ans de français est un peu agacée que je parle français toute la journée dans des situations différentes. Sa jolie cool et moi avons pris ma femme l’écoute alors que j’écoute à une leçon d’essayer d’obtenir une sur moi donc elle sait ce que mal parler suivant …. en français c’est.

Je vais être mise à jour de mes progrès et j’espère pouvoir parler à quiconque est intéressé même si ils veulent juste à peser ou de donner leur avis

OK donc aujourd’hui après avoir examiné certains des enseignements que j’ai décidé de passer à la leçon 22

À ma grande horreur ils m’a informé que l’ensemble de l’enseignement serait en français avec quelques invites anglais. J’avais peur à tout le moins, mais sur Je suis allé. La part d’une voix nouvelle pour l’instructeur qui est sans doute le véritable McCoy des français.

Au début que je ne comprenais pas un mot, qu’il a dit.

Son discours rapide de foudre était ahurissant. (Je crois que son nom est Pierre, mais mal juste appeler Speedy)

Il a fallu quelques essais pour mon cerveau à ajuster, mais Dieu merci il l’a finalement fait (environ la moitié chemin dans la leçon).

Elle n’a pas la limitation de responsabilité qui aurais besoin d’écouter la leçon plusieurs fois, donc j’ai été assez averti.

J’ai été informé de l’instruction en français et de la vitesse il parlait était essentielle pour un apprentissage français et devenir couramment.

Finalement je fait par le biais de la leçon ensemble et a effectivement commencé à le chercher. Je pense que je serai sur cette leçon pendant quelques jours pour un lol de la semaine

Mes excuses pour la mise à jour ne pas pendant un certain temps.Avec mes sept enfants, temps d’écriture peut être difficile à trouver, mais qu’un autre blog bientôt à venir lol.

Dans les quelques semaines depuis que j’ai mise à jour j’ai fini avec fierté un français et je suis s’aventurer en français deux. Je ne pensais il était possible pour les instructeurs de tout parler plus vite, mais hélas, ils ont et a tenté de me dérouter avec sons gutturaux et deux mots de la lettre qui signifient cinq différentes choses dont ils intervenir dans différentes parties de leur peine. Selon les instructions que j’ai eu à répéter chaque leçon plusieurs fois maintenant afin de maîtriser et de continuer. J’ai aussi eu recours à frapper le bouton pause pour me permettre de pratique à plusieurs fois avant de passer à la prochaine chose. J’ai pensé qu’il serait mieux qu’elles répéter certaines phrases plus qu’une fois qu’elles en français un mais ensuite il serait seulement prennent plus d’espace cd me coûte plus d’argent lol. Je dois dire, je me surprends parlant français ici et là et chaque fois que je pense, il n’existe aucun moyen je vais maître la leçon, je suis sur, j’arrive à s’en débarrasser. Il y a eu effectivement quelques fois j’ont complètement surpris moi-même par souffle au large de phrases assez longtemps français avec facilité. Je suis vraiment reconnaissante d’avoir la persistance à réellement être tirer cela au large et de Monsieur Mr.Pimsleur pour rendre possible pour autant à apprendre cette langue merveilleuse. Je vais encore avoir une explosion et je recommande ce programme à tous ceux qui veulent apprendre le français pour l’instant. Je va être laisser vous savent que nous allons ensemble le long de. It is truly such a shame that such a ritual has to be performed from one generation to the next. My heart felt lower after reading this post but I am also sure that no truer words have been said. I hope one day this tradition will no longer be needed. My sons and daughters will be certainly not be part of the hate this world seems to harbor. God bless those who must bare this burden.

My personal Quest to learn French using the Pimsleur Approach…

I’ve always had the desire to learn one or more languages. I guess it’s a personal thing with me, you know to challenge myself.

I had some success in spanish, so at first that was my language of choice and I even bit the bullet as they say and threw down the 600+ dollars for Rosetta Stone. I liked it at first as I flew through the units but I started to notice something. I was spending a lot of time at the computer going over the units learning new vocabulary but I was missing a crucial thing I felt I needed. Actual speaking and conversing in the language.

I guess it just wasn’t fast enough and I don’t know if it was that instant gratification that we are all looking for these days or that i had developed some kind of impatience or ADHD or something lol.

So… one day I get this e-mail about how you can learn to speak a new language in ten days.

I said to myself ya-right ten days but they had the hooks in me when I saw that you could try it for 30 days. I thought to myself why not, the worst thing that could happen is that I would wind up another statistically loser who fell for a bit of clever advertizing.

I want to document my experience and hopefully start some great conversations about my progress and share others stories with other interested people….what a great topic I thought. so here goes.

The day it arrived was exciting for me, not so much for  my wife though who just gave me a disappointed shake of her head, but non the less I was excited.

It was packaged in this beautiful and quite classy pleather box. Inside was a the ten cds protected in a velvety foam cut out. I was impressed so far.

I quickly inserted the new cd and downloaded it to my iTunes so I could take it with me everywhere on my iPod.

The first lesson was amazing! I listened to a quick conversation in french and then it started breaking down the conversation so i could listen and repeat.

Each lesson is only 30 minutes long and you complete one per day.By the end of the first lesson I was able to understand the conversation and with a couple repitions of the cd I could speak as an active participant. Soo cool right!

Well I’m on lesson 21 now and I can honestly say I am so pleased with my progress. My wife who took three years of french is slightly annoyed that I am speaking french throughout the day in different situations. Its pretty cool and I have caught my wife listening in while I’m listening to a lesson trying to get a one up on me so she knows what ill be talking about next …. in french that is.

I’m going to be updating my progress and I hope to be talking with anyone interested even if they just want to weigh in or give their opinion

Ok so today after reviewing some of the lessons I decided to move onto Lesson 22 

To my horror they informed me that all of the instruction would be in french with some english prompts. I was scared to say the least but on I went. The proceeded with a new voice for the instructor who is without a doubt The real McCoy of Frenchmen.

At first I couldn’t understand a word he said.

His lightning fast speech was bewildering.           ( I think his name is Pierre, but ill just call him Speedy )

It took a few tries for my brain to adjust but thank god it finally did (about half way through the lesson).

It did have the disclaimer that I might need to listen to the lesson several times, so I was fairly warned.

I was informed the instruction in french and the speed he was speaking was critical to one learning french and becoming fluent.

Eventually I made it through the whole lesson and actually started to pick it up. I suspect I’ll be on this lesson for a few days to a week lol

My apologies for not updating for a while.With my seven kids, time for writing can be hard to come by, but that another blog soon to come lol.

In the few weeks since I last updated I have proudly finished French one and I am venturing into French two. I didn’t think it was possible for the instructors to speak any faster but alas, they have and attempted to bewilder me with guttural sounds and two letter words that mean five different things which they interject in different parts of their sentences. As instructed I have had to repeat each lesson several times now in order to master and continue. I have also had to resort to hitting the pause button to allow myself to practice  several times before moving on to the next thing. I thought it might be better that they repeat some sentences more than once as they did in french one but then it would only take up more cd space costing me more money lol. I have to say, I do find myself speaking french here and there and every time I think there is no way I’m going to master the lesson I’m on, I manage to pull it off. There have actually been a few times I have completely surprised myself by spouting off quite long french sentences with ease. I am truly grateful for having the persistence  to actually be pulling this off and for dear Mr.Pimsleur for making it possible for so many to learn this wonderful language. I am still having a blast and I would recommend this program to anyone wanting to learn French so far. I will be letting you know as we go along together. Life’s difficulties

I like to think of getting through our life’s hardships and difficulties as our way of weeding the garden of our souls.
Once you make it through those difficulties by doing things the right way you’ll have a beautiful garden (soul).

Following your dream

I have read so many books on the law of attraction. I’ve seen So many videos. The one thing consistent with all of it out there is that you are your own creator. You create your world by the thoughts and action you consistently focus on. Feeling comes with those thoughts and actions and feelings are what give your dreams fuel. Feelings are the motivation that thoughts need for you to put yourself in motion to attain what you want. Keep what makes you feel good in your mind Consistently and what you think will come forth into fruition.
So if you feel good about being rich or having the perfect relationship or what ever it may be. You will have what makes you feel good. So think of what you would like in your life and be grateful as if you have it now and be consistent about it and you will see it in your life. Don’t think about what you don’t want or don’t have because that doesn’t make you feel good. And you will just be counteracting what ever good you’re trying to bring into your life. I believe this to be true, Because I’ve seen it happen in my life. I’m still trying to be more consistent and my life is changing for the better as I get better at it and your life will be too. The more you try the better it gets. God bless
